Massage and Wellness

Massage therapy is essential for facilitating healing and recovery. When combined with chiropractic and physical therapy care, we see our patients achieving and maintaining their health goals at even higher rates.

massage therapyAddressing muscle tissue helps alleviate pain and increase quality of life. It’s a great way to feel good, relieve stress, and help you to feel better after a tough workout or competition. Our physical therapy trained staff massage therapist, Dongjin, spent more than twenty years working with elite athletes in Seoul, Korea, before moving here to Charlottesville. Bringing the perfect blend of Eastern and Western methods, Dongjin delivers a customized approach based on individual assessments – providing powerful healing through myofascial release techniques, therapeutic, and relaxation massage.

Utilizing decades of experience in both Eastern and traditional Western massage therapy techniques, we created a truly unique course of treatment – offering stand-alone services, or combination care and recovery programs.

We are committed to providing evidenced-based care to all of our patients. Through our combined experience, we have seen the results and believe the combination of soft body tissue manipulation (muscle, connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments) with physical therapy and chiropractic is effective for optimal recovery. While many people seek massage therapy for different reasons – to reduce stress and anxiety, relax muscles, rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain, and promote overall health and wellness – we believe it can enhance a person’s quality of life and well-being. We offer both relaxation and therapeutic massage to help alleviate or relieve pain resulting from an injury or illness. Give us a call to schedule your services, or talk with your provider at your next visit, to learn how massage therapy can work for you.
