About Our Practice

Balance Chiropractic and Physical Therapy offers conservative, patient-centered treatment of spine-related pain and headaches. Low back pain, mid-back pain, neck pain, sciatica, arm pain, sports injuries, tension and migraine headaches, tmj disorder, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis are among the conditions that have responded well, including injuries from work, sports and automobile accidents.

Traditional chiropractic techniques are combined with modern approaches to physical therapy, exercise, posture and ergonomics based on individual needs. Xrays and other imaging studies are used only when necessary, and we work closely with referring family doctors, physical therapists and specialists.

Our practice offers both chiropractic treatment and physical therapy. Our safe and comfortable procedures relieve pain and helps restore the mobility of the spine. We also utilize heat and cold, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and various massage and soft tissue techniques (including the Graston Technique and Active Release Technique), as well as the McKenzie method, depending on the problem.

We believe that exercise and rehabilitation have a crucial role in the treatment of almost all problems that present to us for treatment, and that proper postural alignment, lifting technique, and other aspects of optimal biomechanics are also important factors.

Exercise approaches that are emphasized include the McKenzie approach to neck and back pain, strength training, yoga-type flexibility exercises, core stabilization and Williams flexion exercises. We tailor exercises individually to meet each patient's specific needs. Research demonstrates that active components of care help patients heal faster. We want to get our patients back to their lives as quickly as possible, with the tools to prevent a re-injury.
